Raid Tenere Passion 2006

How tough is it?

Any race which covers a distance of 162 km over four stages is going to be
tough, however a lot depends on how you approach it. The race attracts a mixed field of runners both elite and those who are there to cross the finish line. Desert terrain underfoot is taxing for any runner or walker. There are time limits imposed of 10 hours for 40km and 18 hours for 65km. These have been calculated to accommodate a runner or walker with a reasonable level of fitness.
Expect hot days and cooler temperatures at night.
