Marathon Des Iles 2007

The Marathon des isles is a 100 mile fully supported foot race in four stages varying in length form
25km to 60km taking place on two islands in Cap Verde: Boa Vista and Fogo.
Expect magical stages along white sandy on the edge of the Atlantic with a backdrop of glorious sand dunes.

The Marathon de isles 2007 will take place from May 7th -14th 2007.
The entry fee, including flights, transfers,insurance, full board and race entry fee is 1990 euros out of Paris.

How Tough is it?
The shortest stage is 25km and the longest a true ultra at 60km so the time on your feet is going to be taxing. Add to this the heat in cap Verde in May,likely to be in the high 20s or 30s and terrain underfoot of sand, dunes, tracks and paths and you have quite a challenge.
However due to the fully supported element of the race, which means you will only be carrying a camel bak, and the fact that there is a rest day in the middle means that the race is do-able by runners and walkers with a good level of fitness.
