Training
Make sure you do plenty of hill training , as there is significant elevation gain.
- Take a good supply of isotonic drinks with you, to ensure you keep fully hydrated during the stages.
- Consider brining some type of recovery drink for after each stage, which will replace salt loss. This can increase in such humid climates.
- Feet are likely to swell due to the distances covered and the heat. Consider bringing footwear two sizes bigger than normal.
- Bring adequate foot care and repair kit with you.
