Costa Rica Run
The Costa Rica Run is a 200km stage race
set in the mountains, rainforests and volcanoes of this
spectacular part of Central American.
The race is divided into six stages which vary in length
from 35km 50km. Each stage is held along a different
route and will give the competitors the chance to discover
the beauty of the island. The race is fully supported, and
is organised by Raids et Aventure who also organise
the successful Raid des Trolls and the Raid
Celtique.
COSTA RICA RUN 2006
The Costa Rica run will take place from
August 19th-31st 2006. there is an optional extension week
and the opportunity to take a(non-running) companion. The
Costa Rica Run costs 2450-2500 euros ( depending on date of payment) per person
.(departure ex Paris)
HOW TOUGH IS IT?
200km is a taxing distance to run, despite the fact that it is divided into six stages. Add to this significant elevation gain (stage 5 is 3329m), and the humidity in Costa Rica, and the race promises to be a challenge for the most competent of runners.
