Runner Raid Light Backpack

Posted by: Megan on Jan 18, 04 | 12:04 am | Profile

I have been faithful to the Moletracks backpack for two editions of the MDS, one Trans 333, the Yukon and two Guadaruns and numerous other shorter races and was press-ganged into trying out the Runner Raid Light backpack for the Jungle marathon in September. I was very reluctant.
Sorry Moletracks, you have lost a customer. There is no comparison.
I cannot praise the Raidlight pack highly enough.

Firstly it is so comfortable to wear. The cushioning on the back makes it a delight to have on your back, and there was never any time it felt too heavy or uncomfortable despite the fact that it was full to capacity during the race.

There was plenty of room for everything I needed for a self-sufficient seven day race. There are side pockets for water bottles plus a camel back holder as in intergral part of the pack, and several pouches and additional pockets that can be added as required.
The waistband is well padded and has pockets on it.
The shoulder straps are wide and comfortable.
Everything adjusts easily.

The pack itself is lightweight, waterproof and very durable. It lasted through seven days of being dragged through the jungle and didnt tear at all despite getting caught on several branches..
I give this pack full marks and it is certainly going to be my pack of choice from now on.
