Hello all adventure athletes,
Grand Alpha now has a new charity service up and running, with this service any athlete (i.e someone doing a sport or adventure event) can collect a sub allowance back from one of our charities.

What’s a Sub allowance?
Our online web service for athletes gives individuals a shop-window to market their sporting activities and attract sponsorship. With our new service we pair athletes with charities, where for each amount the athlete raises for the charity an agreed percentage is given back to the athlete to help cover the costs of entering and training for an event (a sub allowance). We work with charities that are looking to increase their fundraising budget, and attract more athletes to support them. Each event also has a ceiling amount; this is the maximum an athlete can claim as a sub allowance for that particular event. Using this service an athlete can help their chosen charity, show a clear split between money put towards expenses and money for charity, and help fund their sporting career or life long ambition.

We currently have charities giving from 10% to 50% back as a sub allowance depending on the cost of your event.

Below are our current events that you can collect a sub allowance for:

Marathon Des Sables 2009 up to 45% back and a ceiling amount of £3000,
Jungle Marathon 2009 up 45% back and ceiling amount of £3000,
Yak Attack 2009 up to 45% back and ceiling amount of £3000,
Race to the end of the world up to 45% back and ceiling amount £3000,
Land of the Yeti up to 45% back and ceiling amount £3000,
Ocean Rowing for 2009 up to 50% back and ceiling amount £50,000.

We are adding new events all the time so keep checking our website for details.
