Jungle Marathon 2006
Places are filling up fast for the 2006 edition of the Jungle Marathon- a 100km or 200km run in stages in the Brazilian Jungle.
Held in the depths of the Amazon Rainforest, the Jungle Marathon offers a wonderful combination of some taxing running, stunning surroundings and the opportunity to visit a remote part of this area and interact with the local people who inhabit the region.
Each stage is more challenging than the last. Steep elevation, 100% humidity, water and swamp crossings- coupled with possible encounters with snakes, jaguar and wild pigs.
